NATO membership for Ukraine would have prevented war

Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if it were part of NATO, stated Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Marin also added that Finland would support Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression for as long as it takes.

“We don’t know when the war will end, but we have to make sure that the Ukrainians will win. I don’t think there’s any other choice. If Russia would win the war, then we would only see decades of this kind of behavior ahead of us,” noted Finland’s Prime Minister.
