New exchange of prisoners: Ukraine returns 42 defenders and 2 civilians

As part of a prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia, 44 Ukrainians were released, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak announced on Apr. 26, 2023.

Ukraine returned 42 servicemen: soldiers, border guards, national guardsmen, and sailors, who defended Mariupol, Azovstal, and Kherson region and fought in the East of Ukraine. Also, two civilian Ukrainians returned home.
