Nika Shurda from Mariupol became the European champion in diving among juniors

Mariupol State University student Nika Shurda won the gold medal at the European Junior Diving Championship. Her father is in Russian captivity.

“I was extremely happy when I sang the national anthem of Ukraine on the podium of the European Championship. My dad is now in captivity in Russia. He is a volunteer and helped the people of Mariupol at the beginning of the war.
