Norway to allocate about $43.5 mln to British mechanism for purchase of weapons, military equipment for Ukraine

Norway will allocate about $43.5 mln for the British-led mechanism to purchase weapons and military equipment for Ukraine, said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

“This gives us the opportunity to provide Ukraine with equipment that the Norwegian Armed Forces themselves do not have or have the ability to dispose of without weakening Norwegian defense capabilities,” Støre said in a statement published on the Norwegian government website.
