“Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine. It’s the one that should set out the core principles for just peace.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Ukraine’s peace plan should serve as the starting point for any efforts to end Russia’s war, Reuters reports.
“Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,” said von der Leyen, who visited Kyiv last week. “We should never forget that Ukraine is the country that was brutally invaded. It’s therefore the one that should set out the core principles for just peace.”
According to von der Leyen, countries should provide stable financial support also beyond 2023, and accelerate military support focused on here and now.
