One year since the discovery of Bucha massacre

March 31 marks one year after the Ukrainian defenders liberated the town of Bucha, a suburb of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. A year has passed since the whole world knew about the terrible atrocities committed by the Russian military in the Bucha district.

Mass graves and torture chambers were found on the territory of Bucha. During the 33 days of occupation, more than 1,400 people, including 37 children, were killed by the Russians in the Bucha district alone.

“365 days since it is a free Ukrainian city once again. A symbol of the atrocities of the occupying country’s army. We will never forgive. We will punish every perpetrator,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, honoring the memory of those killed in the Bucha massacre.
