Over 9,000 citizens and businesses have supported Ukraine during the two months of the war by purchasing military government bonds

During the first two months of the Russian war in Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine held 20 auctions for the sale of military domestic government debt securities, raising about UAH 36.6 billion, $93.8 million, and 176.5 million euros (altogether about $1.5 billion) for the state budget.

Though most of the war bonds have been acquired by the local banks, more and more households and businesses support Ukraine by purchasing the securities as well. As of April 25, 2022, over 9.1 thousand Ukrainians and domestic businesses have purchased nearly UAH 5.8 billion, $36 million, and 25.2 million euros (altogether about $261 million) of war bonds, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
