Poland captain Robert Lewandowski to wear Ukrainian armband at FIFA World Cup

Ukrainian football legend Andriy Shevchenko presented Poland star Robert Lewandowski with a Ukrainian captain’s armband to wear at the World Cup this year.

Poland captain pledged to take an armband in the country’s blue-yellow flag colors to the competition in Qatar.

“I’m very proud because I know what it means to support Ukraine’s people. I know what it means to fight for freedom, we know the history and that’s why it was clear to help our neighbors,” stated Lewandowski.
