Poland slams IOC decision on Russian athletes’ return to competitions

A Polish deputy foreign minister has criticized the International Olympic Committee’s recommendation that Russian and Belarusian athletes should be able to take part in international competitions under a neutral flag, the Polish Press Agency reports.
“This is a very bad decision which gives arguments to the Russian propaganda. This is a day of shame for the IOC,” Piotr Wawrzyk told PAP.
Poland’s Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, also condemned the IOC’s decision describing it as shameful.
“The IOC’s decision to return Russian athletes to competition is a scandal and a betrayal of the true spirit of sport,” Mateusz Morawiecki said on Twitter.
