Polish Parliament supports creation of special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine

The lower house of the Polish Parliament — Sejm — adopted a resolution supporting the creation of a Special Tribunal for crimes of aggression against Ukraine.
The Sejm decided that the Russian armed attack on Ukraine “is an act of aggression which, due to its nature, seriousness and scale, constitutes a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and a crime of aggression.”
In the resolution, the members of parliament emphasized that the prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes committed in and against Ukraine is necessary to show that international law does not allow for impunity and that individual criminal liability may also be borne by state leaders.
