The postal block “Garden of Divine Songs. To the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhorii Skovoroda” was ceremonially redeemed in New York, Skovorodynivka, and Kyiv.
The fountain from Skovoroda’s drawing, “Unequal Equality for All,” was graphically reproduced on one postage stamp from the postal block. The image of this fountain was on the 500 hryvnia banknotes of the Ukrainian People’s Republic circulating in 1918-1920, and now on the banknotes of independent Ukraine, put into circulation in 2006. The second stamp of the block presents a portrait of Skovoroda. The block is framed with the philosopher’s facsimile and images of angels in the margins.

The ceremony was held in New York as the First Lady of Ukraine visited the Ukrainian Museum. The Ukrainian community in the USA and representatives of the museum community attended the event, which took place there. Its goals included raising money for the Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum’s preservation and bringing attention to Russian war crimes against Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
