President of Ukraine addressed the European Parliament

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Brussels on Feb. 9, 2023, and addressed the European Parliament. Zelenskyy received a long-standing ovation before he began speaking to the assembly.
“We do not rely on words — we act. We do not cower before the enemy — we stand. We do not waste time — we change ourselves, and we implement changes,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian President thanked the European Union and its citizens for the help Ukraine has been receiving to defend itself against the Russian invasion.
“We are getting closer to the European Union. Ukraine will be a member of the European Union! A victorious Ukraine! A member of the European Union — a victorious European Union!” Zelenskyy emphasized.
