President of Ukraine presented Polish Defense Minister with the Order of Merit

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Poland Mariusz Błaszczak on Feb. 3, 2023. Zelenskyy thanked the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense for comprehensive support from Poland in countering Russian aggression and the solidarity of the Polish people with Ukrainians. He highly appreciated the true strategic partnership between the two countries and effective interaction at all levels.

The President briefed Błaszczak on the situation at the front and the needs for the Ukrainian defenders to stop the offensive of the aggressor. Further joint steps to strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were discussed, namely, in the context of preparations for the next meeting of allies at Ramstein Air Base. Zelenskyy presented the Minister of National Defense of Poland with the Order of Merit, first grade. Błaszczak received the award for significant personal merits in strengthening interstate cooperation, support of state sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
