Project about city residents who lost their homes but still keep keys

“Keys to Mariupol” is a project dedicated to residents of the city who have lost their homes but still keep the keys to them. On the Instagram page of the project, residents of Mariupol tell the stories of their homes and memories related to the city.

Maria Adamanova from Mariupol created the project. According to her, the inspiration struck her when she discovered the keys to her damaged home. She recounted her emotions at the suggestion of a psychotherapist, which helped her cope with the loss. Later, Maria discovered that many individuals preserve the keys to houses that no longer exist, so she decided to make a big project out of it.
