Putin has dishonored the memory of the millions killed in the battle against fascism — Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau

“Today, in Europe, we celebrate Victory Day, when decades ago soldiers from allied countries, Ukraine and Russia, stood side by side and defeated fascism. And what Vladimir Putin is doing today, during the last weeks, has dishonored a cherished memory of millions of people, including Russians who gave their lives for freedom and defeated fascism. This is Putin’s legacy in Europe,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.

He assured that Canada would show support and act in solidarity with Ukraine against Putin and what he had done in Ukraine.
