Restoration of Ukraine to become one of largest investment projects in Europe’s history

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal believes that the restoration of Ukraine will become one of the largest investment projects in Europe’s history. Nonetheless, he reckons now it is necessary to focus on the rapid reconstruction of the country.

“Now we have to focus on rapid reconstruction, the need for which the World Bank estimated at $14 billion. For us, the priority is to ensure people’s access to basic social and humanitarian services,” Shmyhal said at a ministerial roundtable discussion in support of Ukraine on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
