Romania joined an international investigation team probing war crimes in Ukraine

Romania announced it had joined an international investigation team probing war crimes along with Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Slovakia, together with Eurojust and the ICC.
The Prosecutor General of Romania, Gabriela Scutea, said that the country has already started its own investigation and called on Ukrainians who were displaced to Romania because of the war and witnessed war crimes to testify.
The joint investigation team (JIT) was formed by Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine, on March 25, 2022. Later, Estonia, Latvia, and Slovakia also joined it.
