Russia attacks Ukraine as world leaders gather at G20 summit
On November 15, 2022, Russia launched a country-wide missile attack on Ukraine. Air-raid sirens were heard across almost the entire territory of the country.
In Kyiv, few residential buildings were hit by Russian missiles in the central Pechersk district on Nov. 15, according to Mayor Vitalii Klitschko. Several missiles were shot down by air defense over Ukraine’s capital. At the time of posting, all regions remain under fire and information is being updated live.
It is worthy of noting that the G20 summit is currently under way in Indonesia. Earlier, the Ukrainian military issued warnings stating that a Russian attack on Ukraine is expected during the summit.
