Russia caused $2.5 billion worth of damage and destruction to medical facilities in Ukraine

The World Bank estimates that Russia has already destroyed medical facilities in Ukraine worth over $2.5 billion. The enemy rockets and missiles destroyed or damaged at least 978 medical facilities. Moreover, at least 596 pharmacies and 650 emergency rooms suffered damage or total destruction. Such information is provided in the World Bank study “Rapid Assessment of Damage and Needs in Ukraine.” The report was made available to participants from other countries during an online meeting of the sectoral working group on “Health Care” of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.
