Russia causes $600-750 billion in damages to Ukraine

Ukraine’s government estimates the damage caused by Russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion at $600-750 billion.

“Regarding the large-scale recovery — according to the World Bank’s estimates, as of June 1, 2022, the total amount needed for reconstruction as a result of damages and destruction caused by Russia to Ukraine is $350 billion. As of the beginning of 2023, this amount may reach $ 600-750 billion,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a joint briefing with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Kyiv on Feb. 2, 2023.
