Russia falsified the results of pseudo-referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine
“The sham referenda in occupied areas in Ukraine were straight from the Kremlin playbook,” stated White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during the briefing on September 28, 2022.
“Based on our information, every aspect of this referendum process was pre-staged and orchestrated by the Kremlin,” she added.
The White House press secretary added that the USA would never recognize these illegal and illegitimate attempts at annexation.
“Regardless of Russia’s claims, this remains Ukrainian territory, and Ukraine has every right to continue to fight for their full sovereignty,” noted Karine Jean-Pierre.
