Russia has caused over $37 billion of damage to Ukraine’s environment

Russia has caused over $37 billion of damage to the environment of Ukraine, the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine — an audit body of the Ukrainian Parliament — reported on November 6, 2022.

“Even this insane amount does not reflect the real picture,” the Accounting Chamber adds.

According to it, 3 million hectares of forests have already been affected. Some of them are lost forever.
