Russia has damaged 493 cultural heritage sites and objects in Ukraine

Since the start of the full-scale war, Russian troops have damaged 493 Ukrainian cultural heritage sites and objects, as informed by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine on August 26, 2022.
The destructions were recorded in 14 regions. Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions account for the largest number of destroyed cultural heritage objects.
Religious buildings were the most affected by the actions of the Russian invaders — 166 of them were either destroyed or damaged.
