“Russia has put all Europeans one step away from a radiation disaster”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for international pressure to force the Russian occupiers to withdraw from the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
“The IAEA and other international organizations must act much faster than they’re acting now. Because every minute the Russian troops stay at the nuclear power plant is a risk of a global radiation disaster,” stated Zelenskyy in a traditional video address on August 25, 2022.
“And it’s easier to do it now than later, if the wind starts blowing radiation pollution across Europe,” added President of Ukraine.
He also reassures that Ukraine is doing everything to prevent an emergency scenario at ZNPP.
