Russia illegally deported more than 2,000 orphans from Ukraine

According to Ukraine’s Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk, Russia has illegally deported more than 2,000 Ukrainian orphans.

“When we talk about the Russian Federation, among the Ukrainian orphans whom we have in the register alone, there are 2,161 children illegally taken away by Russia,” she specified. Previously Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that the number of all Ukrainian children illegally taken to Russia, including those forcibly deported with their parents, may reach 150,000.
