Russia massively attacks Ukraine on October 19, 2022, hitting critical infrastructure in several regions
In the afternoon of October 19, 2022, Russian forces massively attacked Ukrainian regions with missiles and kamikaze drones. Ukrainian Armed Forces intercepted several missiles and drones.
- Vinnytsia region. A Russian missile hit the energy facility. Information on damages is being clarified.
- Ivano-Frankivsk region. Russian forces struck the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant; a fire broke out.
- Chernihiv. An explosion was heard in the city, and at least three people were injured. According to preliminary data, a kamikaze drone exploded.
- Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Several explosions sounded in Ukraine’s capital. According to the local authorities, the explosions were related to the operation of anti-aircraft defense.
