Russia must bear responsibility for everything it has done on Ukrainian soil. All Russian war crimes must be investigated, and the guilty ones must be punished

Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Wopke Hoekstra said there is a need to hold Russia accountable for crimes in Ukraine.
“Today, we talked about responsibility, without which there can be no lasting peace. For everything that Russia has done on Ukrainian soil, it must bear responsibility. All Russian war crimes and crimes against humanity must be investigated, and the guilty must be punished,” Hoekstra said during a press conference in Lviv, the European Pravda reports.
The minister emphasized that the Netherlands is an active participant in this process and has sent teams of investigators to Ukraine; it is also a member of the coalition of countries to create a special tribunal for the Russian Federation for the crime of aggression.
The International Criminal Court has already begun an investigation into possible crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine. While the ICC can deal with war crimes committed by individuals, it does not have jurisdiction to prosecute crimes of aggression. In this regard, Ukraine calls for creating a special tribunal against Russia.
