Russian Church shares blame for crimes in Ukraine

The spiritual leader of the world’s Orthodox Christians Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew called the Russian Orthodox Church responsible for Russiaʼs war against Ukraine, Reuters reports.
“The church and the state leadership in Russia cooperated in the crime of aggression and shared the responsibility for the resulting crimes, like the shocking abduction of the Ukrainian children,” he told a conference held in Lithuania’s Parliament.
He added that the Russian authorities use the church as a tool to achieve their strategic goals.
