Russian invaders abducted Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant workers

The Russian military took two Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant employees to an unknown destination on July 18, 2022. The abducted persons are Serhii Pykhtin, deputy head of the decontamination department for the radioactive waste operation and management, and Olena Riabtseva, the master of the decontamination department.

The Head of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant environmental protection service, Ihor Khavshnin, had been abducted by Russian soldiers the day before yesterday. “They took him to an unknown destination,” Energoatom reports. “It is still impossible to find Kvashnin.”

“The invaders destabilize the situation at the occupied power plant and resort to new methods of terror. They have started to abduct the personnel from the top management positions at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.”
