Russian invaders damaged one of the world’s largest radio telescopes located in Kharkiv region

The Russian invaders damaged the world’s largest low-frequency radio telescope at decametre wavelengths range, which is located in the Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region. Its territory reaches 100 hectares.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, the Russian military lived for several months in the territory of the observatory before de-occupation and dug trenches there. They damaged the equipment and destroyed the building which is most likely beyond repair. The Russian invaders left behind a lot of ammunition.
