Russian invaders stole about 15,000 paintings from the museums of Kherson region

Russian invaders had stolen approximately 15,000 paintings from the museums of the Kherson region and took them to temporarily-occupied Crimea, Center of National Resistance reports.

According to the Center, the Oleksii Shovkunenko Kherson Art Museum was looted the most. This museum’s permanent exposition included icon paintings of the 17th and early 20th centuries, Ukrainian art of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, and the works of modern artists.
