Russian military misinformed Putin about the war progress — The White House
Russian President Vladimir Putin was being misinformed by advisers on the military activities in Ukraine and the impact of sanctions on his country’s economy.
This information came from the White House Director of Communications, Kate Beddingfield.
“We believe that his advisers are misinforming Putin about how poorly the Russian military is doing and how much the Russian economy has suffered from sanctions; most probably because his senior advisers are too afraid to tell him the truth,” she said.
According to Kate Beddingfield, the United States also possesses information that Putin became aware of misinformation, which led to constant tensions between him and defense top guys.
“It is becoming increasingly clear that Putin’s war was a strategic mistake that, in the long run, has made Russia weaker and increasingly isolated on the world stage,” she added.
