Russian missile hit Zaporizhzhia’s iconic Khortytsia Island, a national Ukrainian reserve
On May 12, 2022, Russian missiles hit the island of Khortytsia in Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Spokesperson Ivan Arefiev, the Russian military launched a cruise missile on Zaporizhzhia region. It hit Khortytsia’s wildlife area and caused a fire. No damage to infrastructure was revealed upon inspection. According to the confirmed data, there were no casualties.
