Russian troops continue using environmental terror in the central part of the European continent. The consequences of this terror for the world will last long after the hostilities end, as stated by the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Strilets, at the Informal Meeting of Ministers of the Environment of the EU in Prague on July 13, 2022.
The EU will support Ukraine in post-war reconstruction and environmental restoration. “Our partners are ready to provide expert and practical support to assess the environmental damage and to assist Ukraine in the restoration process. We already have a recovery plan for our country and our environment. The EU countries have reassured their comprehensive support to Ukraine,” commented Ruslan Strilets.
