Russian troops have destroyed about $30 billion worth of road infrastructure in Ukraine

Some 23,000 km of roads and 273 artificial structures — bridges, overpasses, etc. — were destroyed by Russian troops throughout Ukraine, as of April 3, 2022, the State Agency for Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has calculated. It has estimated losses from damage to road infrastructure during the war with Russia at UAH 874 billion or about $30 billion.

According to Andriy Ivko, the First Deputy Head of Ukravtodor, most of the destruction of the roads suffered in the east, south, and part of the north of Ukraine.
