Russians are torturing about 500 people in the basements of the occupied Kherson region

According to the Representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, “the Russian invaders come with lists of activists, who took part in the civil blockade of Crimea in 2015, veterans of the war in Donbas. They come to the homes of pro-Ukrainian activists and abduct them.”

She also states that people are detained en masse in Kherson, Novooleksiivka, and Henichesk.

Tamila Tasheva informed that so-called filtration camps operate in the occupied Crimea, closer to the administrative border with Kherson region. People deported from the newly occupied territories to Crimea have their passports confiscated and forced to undergo inspections. In particular, men have to get undressed because the aggressors try to find tattoos on their bodies that could indicate affiliation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
