Russians demolished an archaeological complex in Mariupol after occupying it

The Russian invaders damaged the territory of the archaeological monument “Kalmius Settlement” in Mariupol, which was temporarily occupied by enemy troops. The Mariupol City Council announced this on Telegram and shared photographs of the devastation.
“The occupiers are doing everything they can to erase any trace of Mariupol’s Ukrainian heritage.” The archaeological site of local significance, “Kalmius Settlement,” was destroyed. Rashists shell the city and continue obliterating historical, archeological, and cultural monuments from Mariupol’s map. Planting one’s own and erasing other peoples’ past is typical of the “Russian world,” according to the assessment.
