Russians have forcibly deported over 1.3 mln Ukrainian citizens, including 223 thousand children, to Russia — Ukrainian Ombudsman

Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova held an online meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
“The key topic for discussion with the UNHCR chief was the forced deportation of more than 1,300,000 Ukrainians to Russia, including 223,000 children.
By Paragraph 2 of UN Human Rights Council Resolution A / HRC / S-34 / L.1, Russia must provide unimpeded access to international human rights defenders, including UN institutions, to our citizens who have been transferred to Russia. In my opinion, UNHCR should play a key role in implementing such measures,” Ukrainian Ombudsman stressed.
