Russians use education as a tool to destroy the national identity of Ukrainians
According to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova, in Kherson region, Russians are forcing teachers to switch to the Russian teaching program. On May 26, 2022, the occupying authorities of Kherson gathered the directors of local educational institutions to force them to switch to the Russian program of teaching in schools and universities.
The Russian invaders also demand that school principals submit lists of teachers ready to teach under such a program from September 1, 2022. In the summer, teachers from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions are planned to be sent to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to reorient them to Russian standards. Dissenters face dismissal.
Thus, Russia uses education as a means to implement the policy of destroying the national identity of Ukrainians.
