Saudi Arabian Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud visits Ukraine
On Feb. 26, 2023, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud visited Kyiv. At a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they discussed diplomatic and humanitarian support for Ukraine.
“We appreciate this visit and see it as important evidence of support for Ukraine, especially on the anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale aggression. As far as I know, this is the first visit in more than 30 years of our independence. I hope that it will give a new impetus to further intensification of our mutually beneficial dialogue,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The meeting was an exchange of views on the Saudi side’s participation in Ukraine’s post-war recovery, as well as its involvement in promising projects in the investment, agricultural and energy sectors.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the allocation of $400 million in aid to Ukraine.
