Seven countries to send military support package to Ukraine worth $240 million
Seven countries — the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Lithuania — will send a package of support to Ukraine, including spare parts for tanks and artillery ammunition, the British Government has announced.
The package will include “vital capabilities in the form of artillery ammunition, maritime intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and spare parts for equipment, including Ukraine’s current tanks,” it said.
“This equipment package will provide a significant capability boost for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will support their ability to defend their country,” the statement reads. According to the message, it is the first package of multi-million-pound funding from the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU).
