Since the beginning of the war, Russia has stolen Ukrainian water worth about $21 million

During three weeks of the war, Russia stole Ukrainian water worth UAH 620 million or about $21 million by taking it from the Kakhovka reservoir in Southern Ukraine, according to the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine.

On February 24, 2022, the aggressor seized all the hydraulic structures of the North Crimean Canal, which regulated the water supply from the Kakhovka Reservoir of the lower Dnipro River basin to Crimea.

On February 27, 2022, Russian invaders destroyed the temporary dam, the automobile bridge, and the main barrier structure of the canal.
