Since the full-scale war with Russia, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, visited Kyiv for the third time

As was announced previously, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, paid a visit to Ukraine on September 15, 2022.
The head of the European Commission met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discussed cooperation between the EU and Ukraine. She emphasized Ukraine’s progress towards EU membership.
“It’s impressive to see the speed, the determination, the preciseness to which you are progressing. I cannot say to speed up the process because you are speeding it up. That is very good,” stated EU Commission Chief.
During her visit to Kyiv, Ursula von der Leyen was also awarded the Order of Yaroslav the Wise and took part in the opening of a plaque with her name on the Alley of Courage.
