“Slovenia is supporting Ukraine and its brave people in their fight for freedom and democracy”

Slovenia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Tomaž Mencin, returned to the capital Kyiv on Tuesday, having left the city at the outset of Russia’s invasion.

“Ambassador of Slovenia to Ukraine Tomaž Mencin has returned to Kyiv. Slovenia is supporting Ukraine and its brave people in their fight for freedom and democracy. #WeStandWithUkraine,” as said on the Twitter page of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine.

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon described the move as “an important message to Ukraine.”
