Soledar and Bakhmut remain under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The city of Soledar in the Donetsk region remains under the control of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Serhii Cherevaty, claimed on the air during the national telethon, as Ukrinform reports. “Russia has no control over Soledar,” Cherevaty said. According to him, violent fighting is now taking place there, with 76 shellings and ten combat encounters only today.
“Our Armed Forces and command are doing everything possible to inflict maximum damage on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment… and to preserve their forces as much as possible,” Cherevaty stated.
Commenting on the situation in Bakhmut, he said the city is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and that fighting continues. “So far, this is one of the most violent sectors of the front, with incessant battles and enemy shelling,” the spokesman said.
