Song “1944” by Ukrainian singer Jamala is among the three best Eurovision songs according to The Guardian

The Guardian ranked the winning songs in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. Ukrainian singer Jamala’s song “1944” took third place in the rank. “1944” is a heart-rending song recalling how Soviet dictator Josef Stalin ordered the mass deportation of the Crimean Tatars to Central Asia in 1944. Jamala dedicated the song to her great-grandmother, who lived through deportation.
