Spring field works in Ukraine will take place wherever there is no fighting as over 400 million people depend on Ukrainian agri-foods

“Where we physically can sow, where there is no shooting and is an opportunity to go out into the field – we’ll go and sow. It’s not just in Western Ukraine, but also Central and Southern Ukraine,” said Roman Leshchenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. More than 400 million people from around the world depend on Ukraine in terms of food, but this year Ukraine’s priority is Ukrainian people, according to the Minister. Grain exports will depend on the military situation and access to seaports, which account for about 80% of the country’s export capacity.
