Square named after Ukrainian city of Odesa opens in Berlin

Square, named after the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, was opened in Berlin on Jan. 16, 2023 — Deutsche Welle reports.

The name of the city is given to the updated market square, located in the Lichtenberg district of the German capital. Local administration decided to rename it in “respect for Ukraine’s struggle for a free, peaceful and democratic Europe.”
