Square of Free Ukraine opened in Krakow next to the Russian consulate

Part of Biskupi Square in Krakow, Poland, was unveiled on July 12, 2022, as the “Square of Free Ukraine” in a ceremony attended by members of the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland. The square is located next to the Russian consulate in the city.

At the end of March 2022, the Ukraine Street campaign was launched in more than 50 cities around the globe, calling on local residents to support the renaming of streets with Russian embassies and consulates on Ukrainian streets.
