Stand Up for Ukraine: Global Citizen team up with the EU and Canada to mobilize support for Ukrainian refugees
The European Commission and the Government of Canada announced the launch of a global campaign to raise funding in support of Ukraine in partnership with the international advocacy organization Global Citizen. ‘Stand Up for Ukraine’ is a worldwide campaign to raise funds to support the humanitarian needs of people fleeing Ukraine and help refugees everywhere.
The digital rally will kick off on April 8, 2022, with testimonials from grassroots advocates on the ground, calls for humanitarian aid, and celebrity appearances, all culminating in a global pledging summit with world leaders on April 9, 2022.
“We need to raise billions of dollars, not just millions at a global humanitarian pledging summit on April 9, 2022. We can do this. Join us to Stand Up for Ukraine,” said in the statement of Global Citizen.
